I. Frederick Law Olmsted was born on April 26, 1822 in Hartford, Connecticut. He was and still is the most well known and famous landscape architect of our time. The overwhelming title of the father of Landscape Architecture is often given to him. Olmsted was the soul behind the creation of the highly popular Central Park of New York City. The man was a visionary and what he has done for our landscapes are with many praises. He unfortunately died on 1903.
A. The projects that Olmsted undertook were all huge successes. The public in which the projects were designed and made for was very receptive of Olmsted's efforts. Olmsted's work comprised of many undertakings such as
1. 355 school and college campuses' lawns, gardens, and so forth were designed by Olmsted between the years of 1857-1950.
2. The United States Capitol Grounds consisting of over 100 varities of trees and bushes
3. Riverside community settling in Illinois
4. New York City's Central Park being one of the largest parks ever designed

- I am a 3rd year Landscape Architect student at Cal Poly Pomona so everyone should have a pretty good idea why I chose the topic I have chosen. I was born in the great city of San Francisco or as I would like to call it "frisco." I lived there for thirteen years, but then moved forty minutes down south to Hayward which is known to all residents as "haystack." Now I reside in Walnut, California so try to look for me ;)

This is very promising. I like how you plan to show the impact of this man in US history and the importance of large scale public parks. Surely he has created an outdoor history for us. You say your outline is not complete?? Don't get too spread out. It sounds like you are already covering a lot of material.

Good start with you outline. I like your topic. Just make sure to say how his successful landscapes have affected us now and how much his successful landscapes have changed maybe the society or community from then to now.
I'm sure that this topic will benefit you since it pertains to your major.
