Topic Description

Landscape Architecture has been a significant asset to our planet for many generations. It has given us the opportunity to share our social lives with gardens, lay eyes on flamboyant flowers spread across a field of numerous other plants, or simply the gift of beauty revealing itself on a supposed downhill slope. My topic will delve deep into the beginning of these ravishing pieces of art called landscapes from the "Father of Landscape Architecture" Frederick Law Olmsted. He is still one of the most widely known landscape architects today despite his death decades ago. One of his most famous park designs was NYC's Central Park, which all of you might have been to or at least heard of at some point in time. I will go on a literary exploration of his personal history and his most famous designs known to all of society today.
